Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 2677

Sayyidah Asma' bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with them both) relates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was praying facing the Corner (of the Ka'bah). This was before (the command of the Qur'an was revealed) that he should openly proclaim what he was commanded, and (at that time) the idolaters were listening to this: "So which of the favours of your Lord will you both deny?"
Ahmad and al-Tabarani (in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir) recorded it; its chain contains Ibn Lahi'ah, about whom there is criticism.
