Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 267

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty says: 'My believing servant is more beloved to Me than some of My angels.'"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Abu al-Muhazzim, who is matruk (abandoned). Ibn Majah recorded it as these words of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The believer is more honoured in the sight of Allah than some of His angels."
