وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : كُنَّا نَضَعُ سِوَاكَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - مَعَ طَهُورِهِ قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا تَدَعُ السِّوَاكَ ؟ ! قَالَ : " أَجَلْ ، لَوْ أَنِّي أَقْدِرُ عَلَى أَنْ يَكُونَ ذَلِكَ مِنِّي عِنْدَ كُلِّ شَفْعٍ مِنْ صَلَاتِي لَفَعَلْتُ " .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ : السَّرِيُّ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .

Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: We used to place the miswak of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) together with his water for purification. Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, you never leave the miswak!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes. If it were possible for me to use the miswak after every two rak'ahs, I would do that too."
