بَابٌ فِيمَنْ يَسْتَحِقُّ أَنْ يَكُونَ فِي الصَّفِّ الْأَوَّلِ .

وَعَنْ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " لِيَقُومَ الْأَعْرَابُ خَلْفَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارِ لِيَقْتَدُوا بِهِمْ فِي الصَّلَاةِ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ وَقَدِ اخْتُلِفَ فِي الِاحْتِجَاجِ بِهِ .

Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The Bedouins should stand behind the Muhajirun and the Ansar so that they follow them in prayer."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a narrator, Sa'id bin Bashir, about whom there is disagreement as to whether he can be used as evidence.
