بَابٌ مِنْهُ فِي تَعْدِيلِ الصُّفُوفِ وَصُفُوفِ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ .

وَعَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " خَيْرُ صُفُوفِ الرِّجَالِ أَوَّلُهَا وَشَرُّهَا آخِرُهَا ، وَخَيْرُ صُفُوفِ النِّسَاءِ آخِرُهَا وَشَرُّهَا أَوَّلُهَا " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، ضَعَّفَهُ الْجُمْهُورُ ، وَوَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ فِي رِوَايَةٍ وَضَعَّفَهُ فِي أُخْرَى .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ النَّوْفَلِيُّ ، ضَعَّفَهُ الْجُمْهُورُ ، وَوَثَّقَهُ ابْنُ مَعِينٍ فِي رِوَايَةٍ وَضَعَّفَهُ فِي أُخْرَى .
Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best row of the men is the first one and the least good is the last one, and the best row of the women is the last one and the least good is the first one."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Yazid bin Abd al-Malik al-Nawfali, whom the majority declared da'if (weak); according to one report Yahya bin Ma'in declared him thiqah (trustworthy), while according to another he declared him da'if.
