بَابٌ فِي عَظَمَةِ اللَّهِ - سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى - .

عَنْ أَنَسٍ - رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ - عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " سَأَلْتُ جِبْرِيلَ : هَلْ تَرَى رَبَّكَ ؟ قَالَ : إِنَّ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ سَبْعِينَ حِجَابًا مِنْ نُورٍ ، لَوْ رَأَيْتُ أَدْنَاهَا لَاحْتَرَقْتُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ قَائِدٌ الْأَعْمَشُ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ : عِنْدَهُ أَحَادِيثُ مَوْضُوعَةٌ ، وَذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ فِي الثِّقَاتِ وَقَالَ : يَهِمُ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ قَائِدٌ الْأَعْمَشُ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ : عِنْدَهُ أَحَادِيثُ مَوْضُوعَةٌ ، وَذَكَرَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ فِي الثِّقَاتِ وَقَالَ : يَهِمُ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "I asked Jibril: 'Have you seen your Lord?' He replied: 'Between me and Him are 70 veils of light; if I were to see the nearest of them (on my side), I would be burned up.'"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; it contains the man who used to lead al-A'mash (the guide of al-A'mash). Abu Dawud said: He has fabricated (mawdu') hadiths. Ibn Hibban mentioned him in the book "al-Thiqat" and said: He falls into error.
