Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) states: One day I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). At that time he was standing in his particular place of prayer, praying, and the door was closed. That door was on the side of the qiblah, but a little away from the place of prayer. I asked for the door to be opened. When he heard my voice, he reached out his hand and opened the door, and then he continued his prayer.
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Abdullah bin Salih, who was mentioned in the previous chapter. This hadith is also recorded by Imam Abu Dawud, Imam Tirmidhi and Imam Nasa'i (may Allah have mercy on them), but they recorded these words: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was praying in the house and the door was closed; the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) opened the door for Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) and then went back to his place." It seems that that is a different incident, which concerns the house, while this incident concerns the mosque.
