عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - صَلَّى فِي فَضَاءٍ لَيْسَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ شَيْءٌ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى، وَفِيهِ: الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed in an open space, and there was nothing (as a sutrah) in front of him.
Ahmad and Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains al-Hajjaj bin Artah, in whom there is weakness.
