بَابُ سُتْرَةِ الْإِمَامِ سُتْرَةِ مَنْ خَلْفَهُ .

Majma al-Zawaid 2306 — The sutrah of the imam is the sutrah of those
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " سُتْرَةُ الْإِمَامِ سُتْرَةُ مَنْ خَلْفَهُ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ وَفِيهِ سُوِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The sutrah of the imam counts as the sutrah of the one behind him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Suwayd bin Abd al-Aziz, who is da'if (weak).
