بَابُ سُتْرَةِ الْمُصَلِّي .

وَعَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - تُرَكَزُ لَهُ عَنَزَةٌ فَيُصَلِّي إِلَيْهَا - أَظُنُّهُ قَالَ - : وَالظُّعُنُ تَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ وَلَمْ أَجِدْ مَنْ ذَكَرَهُ .

Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A short spear would be planted for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he would offer prayer facing it. The narrator says: I think the narration also contains these words: Women (in howdahs) would pass in front of him (that is, on the other side of the sutrah).
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Muhammad bin Hammad al-Wasiti, and I have not found anyone who mentions him.
