وَعَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ قَالَتْ : رَأَيْتُ أَبِي يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ فَقُلْتُ : يَا أَبَةِ تُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ وَثِيَابُكَ مَوْضُوعَةٌ ؟ فَقَالَ : يَا بُنَيَّةُ إِنَّ آخِرَ صَلَاةٍ صَلَّاهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - خَلْفِي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ .
رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى وَفِيهِ الْوَاقِدِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyidah Asma' bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I saw my father praying in a single garment, so I asked: O my dear father! Are you praying in a single garment while your other clothes are lying there? Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O my daughter! The last prayer that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed behind me, he performed in a single garment.
