وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِذَا حَضَرَ الْعَشَاءُ وَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ فَابْدَؤُوا بِالْعَشَاءِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو يَعْلَى وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ سَمِعَ بَعْضُهُمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍ .

Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) states: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the evening meal is served and the time for prayer has also come, then eat first."
