Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 2158

Anbasah bin al-Azhar reports the statement of Simak: Sayyiduna al-Harith bin Hassan (may Allah be pleased with him) got married, and he had the honour of being a Companion. At that time it was the custom that when a man got married, he would not come to the morning prayer in congregation for some days. He was asked: "Are you going (to attend the congregational prayer), when last night your wife was sent to you?" He said: "By Allah! A woman who keeps me from offering the morning prayer in congregation would be an evil woman."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its chain is hasan (good).
