وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ بَزَقَ فِي قِبْلَةٍ وَلَمْ يُوَارِهَا جَاءَتْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَحْمَى مَا تَكُونُ حَتَّى تَقَعَ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ " ) .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَفِيهِ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ جِدًّا .

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever spits in the direction of the qiblah and does not cover it, that spittle will come on the Day of Resurrection at its hottest, until it lands between his two eyes."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Ja'far bin al-Zubayr, who is extremely da'if (weak).
