عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " التَّفْلُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ سَيِّئَةٌ وَدَفْنُهُ حَسَنَةٌ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : "خَطِيئَةٌ وَكَفَّارَتُهَا دَفْنُهَا" ، وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ مُوَثَّقُونَ .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : "خَطِيئَةٌ وَكَفَّارَتُهَا دَفْنُهَا" ، وَرِجَالُ أَحْمَدَ مُوَثَّقُونَ .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Spitting in the mosque is a bad deed, and burying it is a good deed."
Ahmad and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir recorded it, except that he worded it: "It is a sin, and its expiation is burying it." The narrators of Ahmad have been deemed trustworthy (muwaththaq).
