وَعَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ بَنَى لِلَّهِ مَسْجِدًا وَلَوْ كَمَفْحَصِ قَطَاةٍ لِبَيْضِهَا بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالْبَزَّارُ وَفِيهِ جَابِرٌ الْجُعْفِيُّ وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah Almighty, even if it is the size of the hollow a qata (sandgrouse) digs (for its eggs), Allah Almighty builds for him a house in Paradise."
Imam Ahmad and Imam al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Jabir al-Ju'fi, who is da'if (weak).
