Sayyiduna Abu Sa'd al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, my Lord has promised me that He will admit seventy thousand people of my nation into Paradise without any reckoning, and every thousand will intercede for a further seventy thousand people. Then there will be three handfuls of my Lord, joining both palms (that is, filling them He will bring people out of Hell)." Qays says: I asked Sayyiduna Abu Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him): "Did you yourself hear this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He replied: "Yes! My ears heard it and my heart preserved it." Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "If Allah wills, the Muhajirun of the nation of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will make up this number, and Allah Almighty will complete the remaining number by means of our Bedouins."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat and al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, although in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat he recorded the words: Abu Sa'id al-Anmari. Its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
