Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: A cup containing milk and honey was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Two drinks in one drink, and two kinds of curry in one cup! I have no need of it. I do not say that it is forbidden (haram), but I dislike that Allah Almighty should question me on the Day of Resurrection about superfluous things. I adopt humility for the sake of Allah Almighty. Whoever adopts humility for the sake of Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty raises him high; whoever is arrogant, Allah Almighty brings him low; whoever adopts moderation, Allah Almighty makes him prosperous; and whoever remembers death often, Allah Almighty loves him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Nu'aym bin Muwarri' al-Anbari, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy), while more than one declared him da'if (weak). The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
