Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 18283

Sayyiduna Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were taking part in a military expedition, and we encountered some people from among the polytheists. We drove them back from a place where bread was being baked. We seized that bread and began eating it. We had heard in the Days of Ignorance that whoever eats that bread becomes fat. When we had eaten that bread, we examined our sides to see whether they had become fat.
