Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 18270

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I entered one of the orchards of Madinah together with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began eating fresh dates, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Ibn Umar! You eat too! I said: O Messenger of Allah, I have no desire for them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You have no desire for them, whereas this is the first food the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has eaten in the past four days.
