Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 18188

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: Three birds (that is, their meat) were presented as a gift to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave one of the birds to his maidservant to eat. The next day she brought that bird back, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "Did I not forbid you from keeping anything aside for tomorrow? Allah Almighty grants provision every day."
Ahmad recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).
