Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever detaches himself (from the world) and devotes himself to Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty suffices him in every need and provides for him from where he does not expect. And whoever devotes himself wholly to the world, Allah Almighty entrusts him to it."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Ibrahim bin al-Ash'ath, the companion of al-Fudayl, and he is da'if (weak). Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Kitab al-Thiqat and said: He narrates unusual reports, makes mistakes and contradicts others. The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
