Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 18147

Abu Malik al-Ashja'i reports this account from his father: We used to sit with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and we were all young. I never saw anyone who remained silent more than the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When his Companions spoke and talked a great deal, he would smile.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Ibrahim bin Zakariyya al-Ijli, and he is da'if (weak).
