وَعَنْ أَمَةَ ابْنَةِ أَبِي الْحَكَمِ الْغِفَارِيَّةِ قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَدْنُو مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ حَتَّى مَا يَكُونُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهَا قَيْدُ ذِرَاعٍ ، فَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلِمَةِ فَيَتَبَاعَدُ مِنْهَا إِلَى أَبْعَدَ مِنْ صَنْعَاءَ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ .
Sayyidah Amah bint Abi al-Hakam al-Ghifariyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "A man draws near to Paradise until only the distance of one cubit (that is, the length from the elbow to the tip of the longest finger) remains between him and Paradise; then he says something because of which he becomes farther from Paradise than the distance (from here) to San'a."
