بَابٌ فِيمَنْ تَرَكَ شَيْئًا لِلَّهِ تَعَالَى .
One who gives up something for the sake of Allah the Exalted
Majma al-Zawaid 18129 — One who gives up something for the sake
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : أَخَذَ بِيَدِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَجَعَلَ يُعَلِّمُنِي مِمَّا عَلَّمَهُ اللَّهُ - تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى - وَقَالَ : " إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَدَعَ شَيْئًا اتِّقَاءَ اللَّهِ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - إِلَّا أَعْطَاكَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا مِنْهُ " . رَوَاهُ كُلَّهُ أَحْمَدُ بِأَسَانِيدَ ، وَرِجَالُهَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
In one narration the words are: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took hold of my hand and began teaching me from the knowledge that Allah Almighty had granted him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Whatever you give up out of fear of Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty will grant you something better than it.'" Ahmad recorded all of these narrations with various chains, and their narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
