عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ يَوْمًا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَعِنْدَهُمْ قِدْرٌ تَفُورُ لَحْمًا ، فَأَعْجَبَتْنِي شَحْمَةٌ فَأَخَذْتُهَا فَازْدَرَدْتُهَا ، فَاشْتَكَيْتُ عَلَيْهَا سَنَةً ، ثُمَّ إِنِّي ذَكَرْتُهُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ : " إِنَّهُ كَانَ فِيهَا نَفْسُ سَبْعَةِ أَنَاسِيَّ " . ثُمَّ مَسَحَ بَطْنِي فَأَلْقَيْتُهَا خَضْرَاءَ ، فَوَالَّذِي بَعَثَهُ بِالْحَقِّ ، مَا اشْتَكَيْتُ حَتَّى السَّاعَةِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ أَبُو أُمَيَّةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ وُثِّقُوا .
Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: One day I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). At that time there was a cooking pot in his house in which meat was boiling. A piece of fat in it pleased me, so I took it and swallowed it, and because of it I remained ill for a year. Then I mentioned this to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There was in it the share of seven people." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed his hand over my stomach, and I vomited it up, green. By the One who sent him with the truth, from then until today I have never had any complaint.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abu Umayyah al-Ansari, whom I do not know; the remaining narrators have been declared trustworthy.
