Sayyiduna Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about a man who is heedless of the prayer until the sun sets or rises: "What is its expiation?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He should perform ablution and do it well, then offer the prayer and offer it well, and seek forgiveness from Allah Almighty. This alone is its expiation. Allah Almighty has said: 'Establish the prayer for My remembrance.'"
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Ishaq bin Yahya, who did not hear from Sayyiduna Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him), and no one other than Musa bin Uqbah narrated from him.
