عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " إِذَا مَرَرْتُمْ عَلَى أَرْضٍ قَدْ هَلَكَ أَهْلُهَا فَأَغِذُّوا السَّيْرَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ ، وَفِي بَعْضِهِمْ خِلَافٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "When you pass by a land whose inhabitants were destroyed, pass through it quickly."
