Sayyiduna al-Dahhak bin Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "O Dahhak, what is your food?" He said: "O Messenger of Allah, meat and milk." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Then what does it become?" He said: "What you already know." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What comes out of the son of Adam, Allah Almighty has struck it as a parable for the world (or made it a parable)."
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it, and the narrators of al-Tabarani are the narrators of the Sahih, except Ali bin Zayd bin Jud'an, who has nonetheless been declared trustworthy.
