وَعَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ : جَاءَ قَوْمٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقَالَ لَهُمْ : " أَلْكُمْ طَعَامٌ ؟ " . قَالُوا : نَعَمْ . قَالَ : " فَلَكُمْ شَرَابٌ ؟ " . قَالُوا : نَعَمْ . قَالَ : " فَتُصَفُّونَهُ ؟ " . قَالُوا : نَعَمْ . قَالَ : " وَتُبَرِّدُونَهُ ؟ " . قَالُوا : نَعَمْ . قَالَ : " فَإِنَّ مَعَادَهُمَا كَمَعَادِ الدُّنْيَا ، يَقُومُ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى خَلْفِ بَيْتِهِ فَيُمْسِكُ عَلَى أَنْفِهِ مِنْ نَتْنِهِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Some people came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked them: "Do you have food?" They said: "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Do you have drink?" They said: "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "Do you purify it?" They said: "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "And then you cool it?" They said: "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The end of these two is like the end of the world: one of you gets up and goes behind his house and holds his nose against its stench."
