Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 18070

Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a dead goat, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you think that this was worthless to its owners, and that is why they threw it away?" The people said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The world is more worthless to Allah Almighty than this (that is, the goat) was to its owners when they threw it away."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Wahb bin Yahya bin Zimam al-Allaf, whom I do not know, and the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
