Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 18050

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "There are four things which are attained only in a wondrous way: patience, which is the beginning of worship; humility; the remembrance of Allah Almighty; and having little of things."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, al-Awwam bin Juwayriyah, who is da'if (weak). Al-Hakim (may Allah have mercy on him) recorded narrations through him in al-Mustadrak, and the remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
