وَعَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ : [ لَقَدْ ] كَانَ أَحَدُنَا يَكُفُّ عَنِ الشَّيْءِ ، وَهُوَ وَهِيَ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ تَخَوُّفًا أَنْ يَنْزِلَ فِيهِ شَيْءٌ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: One of us would refrain from something (intimacy with his wife) while he and she were in a single garment, refraining out of fear that some ruling of the Qur'an might be revealed about it.
