Majma al-Zawaid 18040 — Whoever devotes himself to worship, Allah

Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your Lord says: O son of Adam, devote yourself to My worship; I will fill your heart with richness and fill both your hands with provision. O son of Adam, do not distance yourself from Me, otherwise I will fill your heart with poverty and fill both your hands with preoccupation."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Sallam al-Tawil, and he is matruk (abandoned).
