Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17987

Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whenever two servants who love one another for the sake of Allah Almighty meet, and one of them comes before the other and shakes hands with him, and the two of them send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), their past and future sins are forgiven before they part."
Imam Abu Ya'la recorded this narration; its chain contains a narrator, Durust bin Hamzah, who is da'if (weak).
