Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 1798

Bishr bin Harb transmitted this statement of Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him). The narrator says: I think he narrated it as a "marfu'" hadith (traced back to the Prophet) (the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:) "Whoever forgets a prayer should offer it when he remembers it, and on the next day at the time of that prayer."
Imam Ahmad recorded it. The narrator Bishr bin Harb was declared da'if (weak) by Ali bin al-Madini and a group of scholars. Ibn Adi called him "thiqah (trustworthy)" and said: I have not seen any munkar (objectionable) hadith from him.
