Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "O Messenger of Allah! How will I know whether what I have done is good or bad?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you hear your neighbours saying that you have done well, it means you have done well; and when you hear them saying: You have done badly, it means you have done badly."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
