وَعَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ : أَمَرَنِي خَلِيلِي - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بِسَبْعٍ : بِحُبِّ الْمَسَاكِينِ وَالدُّنُوِّ مِنْهُمْ ، وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَنْظُرَ إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ دُونِي ، وَلَا أَنْظُرَ إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ فَوْقِي ، وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَصِلَ الرَّحِمَ وَإِنْ أَدْبَرَتْ ، وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ لَا أَسْأَلَ أَحَدًا شَيْئًا ، وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَقُولَ الْحَقَّ وَإِنْ كَانَ مُرًّا ، وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ لَا يَأْخُذَنِي فِي اللَّهِ لَوْمَةُ لَائِمٍ ، وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أُكْثِرَ مِنْ قَوْلِ لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ ; فَإِنَّهُنَّ مِنْ كَنْزٍ تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: My dear friend (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded me to do seven things: "To love the poor and to stay close to them. He commanded me to look at the one who is below me and not to look at the one who is above me. He commanded me to maintain ties of kinship even if I am not being treated well. He commanded me not to ask anyone for anything. He commanded me to speak the truth even if it is bitter. He commanded me not to care about the blame of any blamer regarding Allah Almighty. And he commanded me to recite abundantly 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (There is no power and no strength except with Allah), for it is among the treasures beneath the Throne."
