وَعَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " اللَّهُمَّ أَحْيِنِي مِسْكِينًا ، وَتَوَّفَنِي مِسْكِينًا ، وَاحْشُرْنِي فِي زُمْرَةِ الْمَسَاكِينِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ عَلَى ضَعْفِهِ ، وَشَيْخُ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ ، وَعُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمَا ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Ubadah bin al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah! Keep me alive as a poor person, give me death as a poor person, and raise me (on the Day of Resurrection) in the company of the poor."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Baqiyyah bin al-Walid, who has been declared trustworthy despite his weakness. As for the teacher of Imam al-Tabarani and the narrator named Ubaydullah bin Ziyad al-Awza'i, I do not know either of them. The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).
