بَابٌ فِيمَنْ يَرْضَى بِمَا قُسِمَ لَهُ .
One who is content with what is allotted to him

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَيَبْتَلِي الْعَبْدَ ، لِيَنْظُرَ كَيْفَ يَعْمَلُ ، فَإِنْ رَضِيَ بُورِكَ لَهُ ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَرْضَ لَمْ يُبَارَكْ لَهُ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ سَعِيدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ الْمَازِنِيُّ ، وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Shikhkhir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty tests the servant in order to make evident how the servant acts. If the servant is pleased, blessing is placed for him; and if the servant is not pleased, no blessing is placed for him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Sa'id bin Rashid al-Mazini, who is matruk (abandoned).
