Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17866

Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Sa'id relates: (The narrator says: I think he narrated
this from his father; this doubt is on the part of the narrator Abu Abdullah.) He (that is, Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him)) says: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say on the pulpit: "What is little and suffices is better than what is much and distracts."
Abu Ya'la recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except Sadaqah bin al-Rabi', who is thiqah (trustworthy).
