Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever the sun rises, two angels are with it who make an announcement, and all the people of the earth except the two groups (that is, jinn and humans) hear their (the angels') voice. (They say:) 'O people, come to your Lord! What is little and suffices is better than what is much and distracts.'"
Ahmad recorded it, and al-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and he added these words: "Whenever the sun sets, two angels are sent alongside it who say aloud: O Allah, give the one who spends (in Your path) a replacement for it, and bring ruin upon (the wealth of) the one who does not spend (in Your path)."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, but with these words: "O Allah, whoever spends, give him a replacement for it, and whoever does not spend, bring ruin upon (his wealth)." The narrators of Ahmad, and some of the narrators of al-Tabarani's chains in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, are the narrators of the Sahih.
