وَعَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَا أَحْسَنَ الْقَصْدَ فِي الْغِنَى ! مَا أَحْسَنَ الْقَصْدَ فِي الْفَقْرِ ! وَأَحْسَنَ الْقَصْدَ فِي الْعِبَادَةِ ! " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ مِنْ رِوَايَةِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ ، وَمُسْلِمٌ هَذَا لَمْ أَجِدْ مَنْ ذَكَرَهُ إِلَّا ابْنَ حِبَّانَ فِي تَرْجَمَةِ سَعِيدٍ الرَّاوِي عَنْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How excellent is moderation in prosperity! How excellent is moderation in poverty! How excellent is moderation in worship!"
Al-Bazzar recorded it as a narration of Sa'id bin Hakim from Muslim bin Habib. I have not found anyone who mentions this Muslim, except that Ibn Hibban mentions him in the biography of Sa'id, the one who narrates from him. The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
