وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنَّ مِنْ شِرَارِ أُمَّتِي الَّذِينَ غُذُّوا بِالنَّعِيمِ ، وَنَبَتَ عَلَيْهِ أَجْسَامُهُمْ " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَنْعَمَ ، وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ ، وَالْجُمْهُورُ عَلَى تَضْعِيفِهِ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among the worst people of my Ummah will be those who were given luxuries and whose bodies grew upon them."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains Abd al-Rahman bin Ziyad bin An'um, who has been declared trustworthy, but the majority declared him da'if (weak), and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
