وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " سَيَكُونُ رِجَالٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يَأْكُلُونَ أَلْوَانَ الطَّعَامِ ، وَيَشْرَبُونَ أَلْوَانَ الشَّرَابِ ، وَيَلْبَسُونَ أَلْوَانَ الثِّيَابِ ، وَيَتَشَدَّقُونَ فِي الْكَلَامِ ، فَأُولَئِكَ شِرَارُ أُمَّتِي . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ مِنْ طَرِيقَيْنِ فِي أَحَدِهِمَا جُمَيْعُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ وَفِي الْأُخْرَى أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ وَهُوَ مُخْتَلِطٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon there will be people in my Ummah who will eat various kinds of food, drink various kinds of drinks, wear various kinds of clothes, and speak affectedly, mouthing their words. They will be the worst people of my Ummah."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat through two routes; one of them contains Jumay' bin Ayyub, who is matruk (abandoned), and the other contains Abu Bakr bin Abi Maryam, who suffered from confusion in his memory (mukhtalit).
