Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17819

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever wakes in the morning grieving over the world wakes in the morning displeased with his Lord. Whoever wakes in the morning complaining of a calamity that has befallen him is in reality complaining about Allah Almighty. Whoever humbles himself before a rich man in order to obtain some of the wealth he has, angers Allah Almighty. And whoever is given the Qur'an and still enters Hell, may Allah Almighty distance him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir; its chain contains Wahb bin Rashid al-Basri, the student of Thabit, who is matruk (abandoned).
