بَابُ مَا يُخَافُ عَلَى الْغَنِيِّ مِنْ مَالِهِ وَغَيْرِهِ .
What is feared for the rich from his wealth and other things

وَعَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِنَّ هَذَا الدِّينَارَ وَالدِّرْهَمَ أَهْلَكَا مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ ، وَلَا أَرَاهُمَا إِلَّا مُهْلِكِيكُمْ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
قُلْتُ : وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ حَدِيثُ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ بِنَحْوِ هَذَا فِي كِتَابِ الزَّكَاةِ .
قُلْتُ : وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ حَدِيثُ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ بِنَحْوِ هَذَا فِي كِتَابِ الزَّكَاةِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "These dinars and dirhams destroyed the people before you, and my view of them is that they will destroy you as well."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is hasan (good). (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: The hadith of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), of a similar kind, has already passed in the Book of Zakah.
