وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - دَخَلَ عَلَى بِلَالٍ وَعِنْدَهُ صُبُرٌ مِنْ تَمْرٍ فَقَالَ : " مَا هَذَا ؟ " . قَالَ : أَدَّخِرُهُ ، قَالَ : " أَمَا تَخْشَى أَنْ تَرَى لَهُ بُخَارًا فِي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ ، أَنْفِقْ بِلَالُ ، وَلَا تَخْشَ مِنْ ذِي الْعَرْشِ إِقْلَالًا " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَأَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), and at that time he had a heap of dates with him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What is this?" He said: "I have kept these aside." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you not fear that because of it you will see vapour (that is, heat) in the Fire of Hell? O Bilal, spend, and do not fear any scarcity from the Owner of the Throne."
Bazzar and Abu Ya'la recorded it, and Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is hasan (sound).
