Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17731

Husayn bin Uqbah states: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Paradise has been surrounded by hardships, and Hell has been surrounded by desires. Whoever peers through the veil falls into what lies beyond it."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
