Sayyiduna Abd al-Rahman bin Abza (may Allah be pleased with him) states: Sayyiduna Dawud (peace be upon him) said: "Be like a merciful father to the orphan, and know that as you sow, so shall you reap. The example of a righteous woman for her husband is like a crown made of gold; whenever a man looks at it, his eyes are delighted by it. And the example of a bad woman for her husband is like a heavy load placed upon an old man. Know that the speech of a foolish person in the gathering of his people is like someone singing at the head of a dead person. If you make a promise to your brother and then do not fulfill it, this will create enmity between you and him. We seek refuge in Allah from a companion who, if you remember Allah, does not help you, and if you forget Him, does not remind you — and that is Satan. And take care that whatever you would dislike being mentioned about you in the gathering of your people, you do not do it even in private."
Al-Tabarani recorded it with two chains, and the narrators of one of them are the narrators of the Sahih.
